Position:  Molding Rover

Reports To:  Molding Supervisor

Job Summary:

Assist in a variety of capacities at the direction of the Molding Supervisor. 

General Duties:
 
  1. Perform routine QC checks and complete necessary paperwork.
 
    1. Perform scheduled QC inspections on fittings being produced every 2 hrs.
    2. Monitor the quality/quantity of all products being produced in your area of responsibility and report deficiencies to the Molding Manager.
    3. Monitor rejects so the source can be identified and resolved.
 
  1. Responsible for molding machines from “start-up” to the conclusion of the production run.
 
    1. Operate and monitor machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
    2. Troubleshoot molding machines problems within the scope of individual ability.  If a problem is not resolved, call the appropriate contact person or shut the machine down.
 
  1. Ensure that the finished product is properly inventoried onto the Inventory Sheet.
 
  1. Respond to all alarms relevant to the shift on which it sounds and document the occurrence.
 
  1. Forklift work moving product around.
 
  1. Wrap, stack and inventory pallets and crates of product.
 
  1. Troubleshoot to the best of ability and make molding machine adjustments in absence of the Molding Supervisor.
 
  1. Assist in the training of new employees.
 
  1. Assist in monitoring operations.
 
  1. Will perform production related activities (i.e. install gaskets in fittings, man molding machines producing rigid/flexible fittings etc.) when needed.
 
  1. Will assume the duties of the Molding Supervisor when absent.
 
  1. Follow safe operating procedures, general safety rules and forklift safety rules.
 
  1. Be an information resource for the new employee on day-to-day tasks, policies, procedures, etc. Assist in training the new employee.
 
  1. Ensure all equipment and work areas are clean at the end of each shift.
 
  1. Other duties as assigned by Management.

Essential Functions:

Standing for long periods of time
Lifting up to 10lbs, occasionally 50 lbs.
Operating machinery
Able to understand operating procedures and warning signs
Must be able to read a tape measure.
Bending, stooping, and occasionally climbing steps.
